
In the 4th Episode of the Mixed Zone Matterz, we speak to a young, dynamic and talented footballer Dalima Chhibber who has been an integral part of the Indian National Women’s Football Team since 2016. Dalima has played a critical role in bringing many accolades for Indian Women’s football. Dalima currently is based out of Canada and a regular member of Manitoba Bisons, the University Team where she is pursuing higher studies.
She made her debut against Maldives in that tournament, where India finally went on to win the Gold medal.
Her long-range goal against Nepal in the SAFF Women’s Championship 2019 was an instant hit on social media and everyone went bonkers. She was bestowed with the Most valuable Player award in the said tournament eventually. At the club front, she represented FC Pune City in 2016-17 Indian Women’s League season before joining India Rush SC in the next season. She joined Gokulam Kerala for the 2019-20 Indian Women’s League season.
She was an integral part of the television expert panel for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 and her analysis earned decent praises overall. The two-time SAFF champion versatile ballplayer has always been loud about AIFF’s contribution towards promoting women’s football across the country.
